Batman & Robin v2 #8
I’ve talked about this issue before, but I feel it’s worth repeating on Father’s Day that the conclusion to the arc with Morgan/NoBody represented a major turning point in Bruce and Damian’s relationship. Their antagonistic rift was mended as Bruce ultimately expressed complete trust in Damian by not questioning his decision to kill Morgan. This is a huge concession for someone like Bruce who is used to being in command, to exercising strict authority over his young partners. He allowed Damian to come to his own conclusion about whether or not he wanted to be an executioner, or to continue striving to follow his father’s path to justice instead. Bruce extended his faith, and I believe it was his reaction that compelled Damian to adhere to Bruce principles once more: “Don’t give up on me, Father.”
