“Wow, I wish my mom could see this.” Dick stood in the shadow of the castle’s blue turrets, his face upturned with a rapturous expression. “Cinderella was her favorite movie.”
Bruce swallowed hard. He braced himself for a grief-stricken lament, for tears, maybe. It’d only been a little over a year since the Graysons had died, after all. He reached one tentative hand out to grip Dick’s shoulder.
But when Dick looked at him, the boy was smiling. “It’s beautiful, huh? She would love it!”
Bruce’s lips parted, but no words came out. He looked at Alfred, confused.
